Pearl, a Tae Kwon Do instructor, was concerned that her knee was not getting better after an orthoscopic surgery at another clinic. She came to Hilltop Physical Therapy, after being referred by her senior instructor who had experienced Hilltop care.
On her first visit, Pearl was limping in pain; she couldn’t squat, kick, or jump and was scared that she would never be able to return to Tae Kwon Do. Pearl had deep scar tissue along her leg and nerve pain in her thigh which prevented her from doing what she loved.
After several sessions she was able to stand on one leg. We worked on pivoting, turning, and eventually kicking until Pearl was able to return to Tae Kwon Do. Several months later she competed in the Kukkiwon competition winning first place in two events. Not only did she get gold medals for her performances but she also beat out 18 year olds. Go, Pearl!
